Education - learning

Homer Township is served by three school districts. Our two elementary school districts, 92 and 33C, place a strong emphasis on the "basics" and encourage parental involvement in school activities. In addition, Homer Township families have a wide choice among fine local private and parochial schools, as well as quality daycare, preschool and kindergarten facilities.

Homer Township’s high school students attend Lockport Township High School District 205 where they receive an excellent education and have the opportunity to participate in a wide and varied range of clubs, organizations, sports and other extracurricular activities.

Many outstanding colleges and universities are within close proximity of Homer Township. In addition to nearby Joliet Junior graphicCollege, Lewis University and the College of St. Francis, several major universities are located in downtown Chicago and the surrounding area.
