Celebrating 25 Years of Excellence in Service this year, the Homer library serves as the community’s center for information, facilitating knowledge and learning, promoting the joys of reading, and supporting the needs of the fast-growing Homer community.
Serving both Homer Glen and Homer Township, the Homer Township Public Library is located at 14320 West 151st Street, in Homer Glen. Avid readers and lifelong learners have access to a diverse collection of more than 100,000 items that include books, CDs, magazines, recorded books, large-print books, audio-visual and more! Readers can enjoy fiction and nonfiction, bestsellers, classics and a full range of materials for children and families, including school text books. Library cardholders have access to a variety of online resources, including magazine and newspaper article archives, along with other specialized resources. The library also offers public Internet access and free computer classes.
Every day more than 600 people visit the library and take home more than 650 items daily. The library is open six days a week and has special Sunday evening hours from 4-8 p.m., September through May. There is more than you ever imagined at Homer Library!
