Looking for a good time? Every season brings opportunities for socializing in Hyde Park. In addition to the old-fashioned Fourth of July and Neighbors Eve, we also kick into high gear for Halloween with music and costumes to honor the holiday.

Residents build their personal calendars around Tellabration, an international storytelling concert each November, and few would miss the chance to attend the community art fair and 57th Street Art Fair each June. On the last Sunday in September, the 57th Street Children’s Book Fair is another calendar highlight. More than 50,000 plants in a wide variety of cultivars, colors and sizes are for sale during the Hyde Park Garden Fair each May. Monies from the latter help fund neighborhood beautification projects throughout the year.
