Illinois River Area Worship

The Illinois River Area recognizes and embraces the diversity of its community. There are 20 houses of worship established in the cities, serving a variety of faiths and denominations. Many are considered historic buildings and feature ornate steeples. Residents and visitors are welcome to experience worship, educational and outreach programs throughout the area.

The communities of Marseilles and Seneca often work together to provide special services and activities. Marseilles and Seneca operate a food pantry, while local churches offer additional programs. There are also dozens of active groups in the Illinois River Area including civic clubs and community organizations that are devoted to creating strong ties, providing leadership and helping the needy.
