The Illinois Valley Area encompasses an area of more than 600 square miles along the Illinois River, 90 miles southwest of Chicago, at the intersection of two major interstates (I-39 & I-80). The Illinois Valley Area Chamber and Economic Development Development (IVAC) area incorporates portions of four counties ( Bureau, La Salle, Marshall and Putnam) including the Cities of LaSalle, Oglesby, Peru, Spring Valley and Wenona and 19 surrounding Villages.
