The volunteer spirit is alive and well in Joliet. Hundreds of residents donate their time, resources, and talents through a variety of service organizations to improve their community’s quality of life.
The Joliet Jaycees is a dedicated group of men and women 21-39 years of age seeking opportunities for leadership development, volunteerism, and community service. Jaycees offers activities in three development areas: individual, community, and management development. The Jaycees benefit the Joliet community through a variety of programs throughout the year.
Founded in 1985, Joliet/Will County Project Pride was originally established by a group of clergymen who saw a need to enhance the image of the Joliet area. Shortly thereafter, membership was expanded to include representatives of various interests and occupations. The purpose of Joliet/Will County Project Pride is to foster a positive image of the Joliet area and its people; to encourage people and organizations to become involved with the betterment of their neighborhood; and to cooperate with any organization or person who is working toward this same end.
