Several top-ranked medical centers serve the residents of Kane County, providing a multitude of services to meet each community’s healthcare needs.
Delnor-Community Hospital in Elgin affords a 128-bed acute-care facility and offers a wide range of health services. The newest addition to the hospital, slated to be finished in 2008, is a 100,000- square-foot facility, extending the bed count to 159 and providing additional extensive private patient rooms and amenities.
Sherman Hospital, located in Elgin, is a 416-bed healthcare facility staffed by 13 full-time physicians. Sherman Hospital is one of five facilities situated within Chicago’s northwest suburbs. Facilities and services offered at Sherman Hospital include the Regional Heart Center, emergency services, a Level II Trauma Center, cancer care, Diabetes Center, women’s services, Birthing Center, ShermanCare Senior Services and more.
Provena Mercy Medical Center, positioned in Aurora, provides a 356-bed medical facility offering full-range inpatient and outpatient services. This medical center is the home to both the area’s first Cardiovascular Institute and Diabetic Wellness Center. The Provena Mercy Medical Center’s orthopedic services have been ranked in the top 10 percent in the nation and its cardiovascular services have received a five-star rating by HealthGrades.
Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin serves the area with high-quality healthcare services, including cardiovascular care, a Regional Cancer Care Center, a Level II Trauma Center, great pediatric care and much more.
Rush-Copley Medical Center is a 200-bed healthcare facility in Aurora. The extensive campus includes the Heart Institute, Cancer Care Center, Women’s Health Center, emergency services and the Neuroscience Center.
Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield also serves the communities of Kane County, offering a 361-bed hospital with 50 primary and specialty care physicians at 17 sites throughout DuPage and Kane Counties.
