Lake Bluff
Lake Bluff, a modestly sized community situated approximately 35 miles north of Chicago, is a quaint town with a traditional charm that is hard to come by in the suburbs. This quiet community of just over 6,000 spans over four square miles of land, which encompasses attractive homes ranging from old Victorians to newly-developed residences overlooking the lake, extensive sites for leisurely activities and excellent educational facilities.
The unique suburban village is bordered by Lake Michigan to the east, which provides a great spot for relaxing along the beach, swimming, fishing, boating and other water and beach sports. Residents and visitors can also find nine parks, an 18-hole golf course, a public pool and a community recreation center in Lake Bluff.
Acclaimed schooling is provided by District #65 and Lake Forest High School, along with the alternatives of two private elementary schools, two college preparatory high schools and the Arden Shore Child and Family Services Center.
People from all over the area take pleasure in perusing through Lake Bluff’s Farmer’s Market. The market, held every Friday from mid-June through mid-October at the Village Green, is teeming with freshly picked fruits and vegetables, baked goods, flowers and more.
