The distinctively characteristic village of Lincolnshire is nestled in southeast Lake County, less than 30 miles from downtown Chicago.
Stretching over nearly 4.5 square miles in Vernon Township, Lincolnshire has experienced a major surge in population over the last several decades. Since its incorporation in 1957 with a population of just 237, the village grew to 6,108 residents in 2000. The estimated population in 2007 stands at 6,537, with that number slated to grow past 7,000 by 2020.
Lincolnshire has become a highly sought after residential community, providing residents and prospective homebuyers with a variety of housing options among open spaces and along tree-lined streets.

Single-family subdivisions and other unique residential developments add character to its quaint neighborhoods. As the village grows, it continues to maintain its unique forested character while offering high quality residences in low-density housing areas.
Homeowners are also attracted to Lincolnshire because of its nationally recognized, award-winning schools. Elementary students attend schools in Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District #103: Laura Sprague School serves students in grades K-2; Half Day School serves grades 3 and 4; and Daniel Wright Junior High School educates students in grades 5-8. All three primary facilities have received the National Excellence in Education Award.
Adlai E. Stevenson High School District #125 is the public school serving students who reside in Lincolnshire. The only high school in the state with four Blue Ribbon Awards for Excellence in Education, Stevenson received the coveted awards from the U.S. Department of Education in 1987, 1991, 1998, and 2002.

Coupled with the expanding residential sector, the village offers a desirable business environment as evidenced by larger developments including the Lincolnshire Corporate Center and the Tri-State Office Park, which span countless square feet of office and industrial space.
As Lincolnshire becomes a thriving upscale destination for retail business, CityPark, Lincolnshire Commons, and the Village Green have become popular areas for shopping, dining and entertainment.
These lifestyle centers, as well as others in the works, offer diverse shops and boutiques, familiar and fashionable dining establishments, as well as numerous entertainment venues. One of the Midwest’s finest resorts is located in the center of the village and draws thousands of guests each year.

The Lincolnshire Marriott Resort, situated on 170 acres with a luxurious 390-room hotel, offers four delectable restaurants and lounges, live theater performances for adults and special children’s musicals, an 18-hole championship golf course, and more than 40,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space.
Nationally recognized schools, lifestyle centers, entertainment venues, and a flourishing business climate combine to attract families, tourists and business professionals to Lincolnshire.
