Lansing arguably offers the best recreational programs in the entire area. The community boasts a great baseball, football, volleyball league and more. Senior citizens have a wide variety of activities and events to choose from along with special services such as a senior bus service, health screenings, driver refresher courses and much more. The Lan-Oak Park District has extensive recreation programs and many wonderful facilities such as recreation and fitness centers, lap pool, outdoor pool, walking and jogging track, playgrounds, tennis courts, ball fields and 21 park locations. Special events are extremely popular along with a Fourth of July celebration and great fireworks display. All ages from preschool to seniors can find year round activities.
