AMBASSADORS

The Ambassadors are our official representatives to both the business community and the community at large. Chaired by Paula Gleason, DVH Secretarial Services (630.305.8824)

BUSINESS EDUCATION PARTNERSHIPS

Develop programs of interaction between the business community and local schools. This includes classroom presentations, field trips, etc. Chaired by Brian Zeeck of Hinshaw & Culbertson (630.505.0010)

COMMUNITY ARTS GROUP

This committee works on projects to improve the overall appearance of the community in general. Recent projects have included murals for the pedestrian walkway in downtown and the Birdhouses of Lisle and Hot Air Balloons of Lisle project, Rain Barrels of Lisle. DINNER DANCE

The Dinner Dance Committee coordinates publicity and silent auction activities as needed for the Chamber’s annual awards ceremony. Chaired by Paula Gleason, Hot Media Group DotComd (630.305.8824)

DOWNTOWN BUSINESS COUNCIL

This group works toward the promotion and improvement of the central business district. Projects such as Smile Days, Downtown Winter Walk and Halloween celebrations emanate from DBC. Chaired by Randy Russell, Wine Expressions (630.435.9463)

5K/10K RACE

Annual Fundraiser for the Chamber to support education. Proceeds are used to fund scholarships. Chaired by Tom Althoff, Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce (630.964.0052)

GOLF OUTING

The Golf Outing Committee plans, organizes and conducts the golf outing enjoyed by both members and non-members each summer. Chaired by Jim Burner, Edward Jones (630.420.9040)

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

Study and advocate ways for business and government to work together better. This Committee meets once a month. Chaired by Brad Hettich, Old Second National Bank (630.305.4644)

LEADS GROUP

To develop new, additional and profitable business though networking with other Chamber Members.

SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE

This committee awards the annual scholarships to high school students. Chaired by Sandra Gill, Benedictine University (630.829.6216)

SEMINAR/TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE

This committee develops seminars to benefit the membership on topics of importance such as sales techniques, marketing and personnel. Chaired by Rhonda Snelson Lisle Library District (630.971.1675)

SMILE DAYS/DEPOT DAYS

Lisle Smile Days is a family event designed to welcome Lisle and the surrounding community residents to downtown Lisle and promote the downtown businesses. Depot Days provides opportunities for educational and historical views of Lisle in conjunction with the Lisle Depot Museum. Chaired by Tom Althoff and Wendy Nadeau, Lisle Chamber (630.964.0052)

TRASH & TREASURES

Lisle’s community garage sale is held each year in June. This event is a community service, provided by the Chamber and is available to the general public. Chaired by Wendy Nadeau, Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce (630.964.0052)

WOMEN IN BUSINESS

Women in Business provides an opportunity to meet other women in business, develop relationships, educate, improve skills, pass referrals and empower each other by sharing group talent, inviting subject matter experts to speak and participate on special committees for community events. YPN (YOUNG PROFESSIONALS NETWORK)

The next generation of business in Lisle, YPN provides a venue for young motivated professionals in the Lisle community to discuss their business and work on ways to build and grow. Chaired by Jon Young, DuPage Dragons (630.241.2255)
