

The Lockport Township Park District has many recreational opportunities, including 18 facilities, 50 parks, approximately 1,000 acres of property and hundreds of organized recreational programs for all ages. Tee off at Prairie Bluff Public Golf Club in Lockport, an 18-hole championship golf course designed by two-time U.S. Open Champion Andy North along with Roger Packard. With four sets of tees, 10 lakes and more than 40 bunkers, golfers of all skill levels will find a challenge whenever they come out to play. Challenge Fitness has seven indoor tennis courts, two raquetball/wallyball courts and a full-service pro shop at Prairie Bluff. Members take advantage of state-of-the-art cardiovascular machines, steam rooms, whirlpool, on-site personal trainers and spa amenities. Challenge Fitness also offers aerobics classes, tennis classes, leagues and teams.
Lockport Township Park District is host to three quality aquatic facilities. The Chaney Pool features a waterslide, lap pool and zero depth entry; Heritage Falls Water Park features two waterslides, two diving boards and zero depth entry; and Challenge Fitness (an indoor facility) offers classes and swim lessons year-round. The Skate Park Facility provides in-line skating and skateboard enthusiasts an opportunity to show off their skills with numerous pieces of equipment designed to challenge all levels of skaters.
