Manhattan is located in the southern section of Will County about 40 miles south of Chicago.
The town covers 4.87 square miles and according to a special census in 2006 we have a population of 6,017. Manhattan is close enough to big cities’ cultural and recreational events but far enough away to enjoy starry night skies. Interstates 80, 55 and 57 are less than fifteen minutes away. The future I-355 expansion will also be close by. The newly built Metra carries passengers to Chicago. As the ridership grows so also will the need for additional train times. Meanwhile, nearby New Lenox, Joliet and University Park’s Metra offer expanded scheduling and destination points.
Joliet’s Regional Airport, Lewis University Airport, and New Lenox Howell Field are all just minutes away.
