
Manhattan School District officially became District 114 in 1902. The district comprises 29 square miles and serves all of Manhattan Township and portions of Jackson and Green Garden Townships. Graduates from Manhattan Junior High enter either Lincoln-Way Community High School or two of the parochial high schools in the area. The district is comprised of three public school facilities with approximately 1108 children attending Wilson Creek, opening fall of 2006 for pre-k to second grade, Anna McDonald Elementary School for grades three through five and Manhattan Junior High School for grades six through eighth.
