The Villages of Matteson, Olympia Fields, Park Forest, Richton Park and University Park greatly embrace the diverse population that makes up this portion of the Chicago Southland region.
Nowhere is this more discernable than in the area’s strong spiritual community, which is represented by an impressive number of places of worship. Virtually every belief system is present in the five-Village area, offering an array of spiritual services including traditional worship services, special holiday services and events, religious-based education, and community outreach programs.
These communities also exhibit the true spirit of helping others through volunteerism. A wealth of civic clubs and organizations have been established in the region, all of which are highly active in the community. Various fundraising and family-oriented events held throughout the year are sponsored by several of the area’s civic groups. Parent-teacher organizations, youth groups, business-related associations, social clubs and many more types of service consortia continue to make a difference in the five-community area and beyond.
