"Winter Wonderland Ball" Annual Dinner Dance, January 24, 2004. Features a nine-piece orchestra and recognizes significant contributions made by individuals to the community.

Golf Outing. Held annually in May, business leaders and guests congregate for a day in the sun on an exceptional area golf course.

Country Meadows Craft Show. Held in September from 10am to 4pm at Petersen Park, this event features over 200 crafters displaying handmade items.

Fiesta Days. Held in July, it begins with Teen Night, Big Wheels Races, Big Band Night, and a Food Festival. End ends with a parade followed by the Jaycees' Pig Roast. In between is a Plywood Boat Challenge, Car Show, River Run, Boat Show, Family Faith Nite, amusement rides, bingo, Children's Night, Sidewalk Sales, Arts & Crafts in the Park.

Other business events include Expos, networking scrambles and the Miss McHenry Pageant. Attend area events - Trail of History in October at Glacial Park, Illinois Storytelling Festival in Spring Grove, Downtown McHenry Christmas Walk Along the Fox. Play at Fort McHenry Playground. Bike our bike path. Roller skate at Just for Fun on 31 Roller Rink or the new skateboard park. Enjoy an outdoor movie at the historic drive-in, or a concert at the city gazebo.
