McLean County does not lack for places to visit either. For the children, the Children’s Discovery Museum, the Pepsi Ice Rink, the Challenger Learning Center, Prairie Aviation Museum and a wide selection of sports oriented venues attract visitors. Not to be forgotten are the many parks in the area including the Miller Park Zoo and the ecologically focused Tipton Park. Take a drive to the north of the county and enjoy Lake Bloomington and Comlara Park at Evergreen Lake. You can also take a tour of Mitsubishi Motors or tour the Illinois State University Farm in Lexington. Round out your visit at Funks Grove Maple Syrup or by climbing one of the silos at Upper Limits.

If you desire a visit to the arts there is no limit to the number of live theater venues and productions year round including the Illinois Shakespeare Festival. You may also attend any number of musical events put on at Illinois State University or Illinois Wesleyan University. The Bloomington Cultural District including the new Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts and the McLean County Art Museum provide additional outlets for the arts.
