Mendota Community Hospital is an acute care nonprofit hospital with approximately 275 employees. Sixteen physicians are on the active medical staff and more than 30 physicians are on the hospital’s consulting/courtesy staff. Services offered by the hospital include a medical-surgical unit, four-bed Intensive Care Unit, Surgery and Recovery, same day surgery, laboratory, microbiology lab, rehab services, home health department, swing beds (skilled care), cardiopulmonary services, 24-hour physician-staffed emergency services, radiology (including ultrasound), bone densitometer, MRI, nuclear medicine, CT scanner, mammography, nutrition counseling, sleep lab, community health services, outpatient specialty clinics, occupational health services, and more.
There are also many independent practitioners and dentists located throughout the area.
Mendota has two nursing home facilities, offering quality care to its residents. The Mendota Lutheran Home, a not-for-profit, church affiliated, Medicare Certified, long-term care facility, is licensed to provide care for 76 intermediate care, 12-sheltered care residents (assisted living), and 43 skilled care residents. Heritage Manor Nursing Home is a licensed 99-bed facility. It is Medicare Certified, and offers physical, occupational and speech therapies.
Nestled in a quiet, serene country atmosphere is Stonecroft Village Angelus Retirement Community. They are able to offer independent and assisted living accommodations. They provide supportive services and care in the kind of setting you’ll readily call home.
