There
are seven parks in the Village of Milan, the largest being Camden. Camden
Park, located near the Community Center off Highway 67 and the Milan Beltway,
is the home of Milan Area Girls Softball. A complete playground and four
shelters are available to the Public (one by reservation). The annual
3rd of July fireworks celebration is hosted here. A warm-up lodge is available
during winter sledding activities. Dickson is the second largest park.
Every Labor Day weekend, Milans Indian Summer Festival is held here.
Little League baseball and the American Legion play their games at the
Dickson Park ball diamond, as do many area schools. The remaining five
parks located in various neighborhood locations are complete with shelters
and playgrounds. Each year, the Milan Park and Recreation Department sponsors
a four week summer parks program for youths between the ages of 5 and
10. For more information, contact the Park Department at 787-8506.
