Greetings

All “signs” point to the fact that Mount Prospect is changing for the future. Residents and businesses alike see this in many aspects of Village life.

The Village’s 2007 Comprehensive Plan looks to the future in its planning for: housing/residential areas; economic development; transportation and infrastructure; and community facilities, services and open space. Businesses have reacted very positively to the Plan, which is aimed at ensuring that Mount Prospect will continue to be one of the most viable communities in the greater Chicago area.

The Village’s redevelopment is evidence of how Mount Prospect has been changing for the future. This includes development of the downtown area, the new “Entertainment District” at the Triangle and completion of Founders Row and the Emerson. Plans have also been announced for development of “Randhurst Village,” as well as several other areas of the Village. Some of these developments reflect changing demographics and the desire for more condominium and other multi-family housing, as well as more retail commercial space.

Businesses and organizations have also been changing for the future. We see more service businesses and home-based enterprises becoming members. This is resulting in a more diversified business community, serving both the needs of residents and, in many instances, the worldwide economy. It’s also making Mount Prospect a better place to live, have a business and work in the future.

Mount Prospect ….Right Place, Right Time!
