Education
Residents of Mount Prospect are fortunate to be served by school districts that provide choice and academic challenge for all students.
Elementary districts that serve the Village’s students include Mount Prospect District 57, Wheeling District 21, River Trails District 26 and Community Consolidated District 59. Students in these elementary feeder districts go on to attend schools in Township High School District 214.
William Rainey Harper Community College offers both two-year associate degrees and a range of vocational and business education classes. Harper’s Business and Professional Division offers management and supervisory training seminars in cooperation with many area businesses.
ITT Technical Institute in the Kensington Business Park provides many students technical training in computer technology and electronics.
Northwestern University, the University of Chicago, Roosevelt University, North Park University, University of Illinois-Chicago, DePaul University, Loyola University and Northern Illinois University are all within an hour’s drive of the village.
