Mount Prospect Parks and Recreation
Mount Prospect residents enjoy a wide variety of recreational and relaxation opportunities. The Mount Prospect and River Trails Park districts offer numerous athletic and fitness programs.
Facilities include the Central Community Center, the RecPlex Indoor Pool Complex and the Marvin S. Weiss Community Center. Youth and senior activities, sports leagues, art programs, outings and other general interest programs are also available through these park districts.
Residents can enjoy a stroll through the natural seasonal displays or get answers to gardening questions at Friendship Park Conservatory.
In addition to indoor and outdoor pools, Village residents have access to an outdoor wave pool, golf courses, a miniature golf course, outdoor ice skating rinks, miles of bike and walking trails, playgrounds, ball fields and tennis courts.
Residents of Mount Prospect enjoy easy access to Cook County Forest Preserve facilities – offering picnic areas and trails for biking, hiking and cross-country skiing. Veterans' Memorial Band Shell in Lions Park provides a fitting backdrop for open-air concerts and community events.
