Mount Prospect Education

Residents of Mount Prospect are fortunate to be served by schools and school districts that provide choices and academic challenges for all students.

Elementary districts include Wheeling District 21, River Trails District 26, Mount Prospect District 57 and Community Consolidated District 59. Upon graduation from these elementary feeder districts, students attend schools in Township High School District 214. Special education services are provided at many of the school and agencies.

Talented and gifted programs are available at all public school districts. The services of social workers and psychologists are available as needed. Most elementary schools offer before- and after-school care.

Academics in the public school system are augmented by an array of extracurricular activities and sports to suit a wide range of interest. In addition, the area offers many private and parochial school choices.

Students seeking higher education can attend William Rainey Harper College in nearby Palatine or the vast array of private and public colleges and universities that are available throughout the Chicagoland area.
