Providence Catholic High School

The award-winning elementary schools in New Lenox District 122 provide primary education for over 5,559 K-8 students.

Lincoln-Way Central High School offers college preparatory and vocational courses in grades 9-12. LWHS has been honored with Academic Excellence Awards, and named one of the Top 100 Best Value Schools. They had an enrollment of 6,890 students during the preceding school year.

Providing private education to our residents are St. Jude’s Catholic School for grades K-8 and Providence Catholic High School for grades 9-12. Providence Catholic High School had an enrollment of 1,070.


Several private pre-schools and childcare centers can also be found in New Lenox.

For higher education, Joliet Junior College, established in 1901, is one of the nation’s oldest community colleges.

For the convenience of our residents, many classes are also conducted at Lincoln-Way High School. Other colleges in the area include University of St. Francis in Joliet, Lewis University in Romeoville and Governor’s State University to the east.
