North Aurora Education

West Aurora School District 129 provides outstanding education opportunities for students in North Aurora. The district is committed to creating a positive learning environment for all learners, and guides students toward life-long learning by maximizing academic, social, emotional and physical growth.

There are three elementary schools and one middle school located in North Aurora. High school students are served by West Aurora High School in neighboring Aurora. The school has attained recognition for its academic programs, community involvement and athletic programs.

Several K-12 parochial and private schools are located in the area — including Aurora Christian High School, Rosary High School, Aurora Central Catholic High School and Marmion Military Academy. Three daycare centers are located in the Village, and a new major training facility is being built by the Southern Kane Fire Training Association.

Many options are available for higher education, from certification programs to undergraduate and graduate degrees. Colleges and universities within 20 miles of North Aurora include Waubonsee Community College, Aurora University, North Central College, Elgin Community College, Wheaton College, Benedictine University, College of DuPage and Lewis University. Olympia College operates a campus on Route 31 in North Aurora.
