The Village government consists of an elected Village President and six elected Trustees; together they form the Village Board.
The Village Board passes an annual budget and sets the operational policies of the Village. A professional staff carries out the directives of the Village Board. Elected officials and staff pride themselves on accessibility; if a resident wishes to talk, someone will gladly listen.
The North Aurora Fire Protection District provides fire suppression and prevention, and ambulance and public education services. The Messenger Public Library serves residents with a new up-to-date library filled with many resources. The Fox Valley Park District offers recreational services, while School Districts 101, 129 and 302 provide public schooling. The Village has five deep wells to provide water to the community.
Fox Metro Water Reclamation District provides sanitary sewer.
