On behalf of the Northbrook Chamber of Commerce I would like to extend a warm welcome to all who are considering a move or visit to the village of Northbrook, an outstanding North Shore community.
Northbrook has long been regarded as one of the premiere communities on the North Shore. With its outstanding community amenities, highly-ranked educational system, excellent transportation routes, outstanding business climate and prime North Shore location, Northbrook is an excellent place to live, work, shop and play. Graced with outstanding recreational facilities, upscale retail centers, and civic-minded residents, Northbrook has something for everyone.
Northbrook businesses play a vital role in the day-to-day operations and overall economic health of our region. Every year these businesses generate millions of tax dollars, funds that go directly to support the community of Northbrook, including its schools, Park District, Library, Police, Fire, Public Works and general village operations.
Supporting our business community is the primary objective of the Northbrook Chamber of Commerce. With nearly 700 members, the Chamber represents the business interests of Northbrook by serving as a vital link among the residential, civic and business sectors of the community. The Chamber works on behalf of the interests of the business community to ensure Northbrook retains its strong commercial base.
Throughout the year the Chamber supports businesses by providing a wide range of networking and educational programs, a major business exposition to showcase our members, an annual golf outing and our extremely popular Auction and Taste that highlights area restaurants. We also provide educational programs featuring nationally recognized economic experts, government officials and business leaders. Our Chamber also maintains strong ties with the village of Northbrook, participating in the village’s economic development panels, other village commissions and volunteer committees. We work hand in hand to support, promote and retain our local businesses.
The Chamber also serves as a resource for anyone who is interested in learning more about our community through its informative publications, including a widely circulated Community Guide, street map and monthly newsletter. To find a business or service, or to find out more about the Chamber, call or visit our website www.northbrookchamber.org. You may also use the site to find out more information about becoming a member of the Chamber.
Please contact the Chamber whenever you are shopping for goods and services, or if you just need some helpful information. Look for the Chamber of Commerce membership decal when shopping and support the businesses and organizations that contribute so much to Northbrook. Feel free to stop by our office at 2002 Walters, located just south of the downtown area across from the Northbrook Train station.
Sincerely,
Tensley Garris
