The Winnetka-Northfield Public Library District has been serving the community of Northfield since 1974. The Northfield Branch hosts adult and children’s programs throughout the year. The Branch facility, remodeled and expanded in May 2000, has a friendly, warm atmosphere. There is a separate children’s area where there is drop-in storytime.
As part of the Winnetka-Northfield Library District, the branch is also a member of the North Suburban Library District (NSLD) and the Co-operative Computer Service (CCS). Through NSLD, the library has access to thousands of periodicals and journals, reciprocal borrowing privileges and resource sharing. CCS provides the library with a shared database, automated circulation system and Internet access. CSS also provides patrons with the ability to access many of the databases and information systems from their home computers. There is WiFi access so you can use your laptop as well as access to computers provided by the library.
