On behalf of the Board of Directors and Staff of the Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce, I am pleased to present the 2003-2004 Membership Directory and Community Profile.

I am thrilled to be a part of this community and Chamber. Although growth is constant, the area still has a "close-knit" feeling. I feel it has the best of both worlds. It is an area large enough to offer wonderful shopping and employment opportunities, but also small enough that people remember your name and greet you when you stop by their business. It has a wonderful mix of new growth, while also preserving the beauty and quaintness of the past. It is an area that has charted a course for the future while also honoring its history. It is a place many are proud to call home.

The Chamber is helping guide the direction of our business community. We offer many programs to area businesses to help them market their products and services, as well as serve as an advocate for businesses in the Northern Kane County area.

I have never been very good with direction. I can remember my dad's frustration when he was trying to teach me to use a compass and I just kept trying to make it point to myself. I guess I felt that I knew where I was, so it should point to me! I now know the actual use of a compass, but don't often feel the need to use it to find something outside of this community, because we have it all right here. You can use this directory to find everything from banks to restaurants, from hospitals to building contractors.

The businesses in this directory have invested in this wonderful community. I hope you will support them whenever you can.
