Business and pleasure travelers are only a half- hour away from O'Hare International Airport, one of the world's busiest airports, located to the east off Interstate 90. Several area limousine services provide speedy and convenient transportation to and from the airport.

Swift, comfortable, and convenient Metra commuter trains run regularly to Chicago's Loop from stations in Elgin, Barrington, and Crystal Lake. Pace buses provide transportation within the area and to nearby communities. Dial-A-Ride service is available for the elderly and handicapped. Several motor freight carriers serve area business and industry. Rail freight service is available in Elgin and Crystal Lake.

Last year, East and West Dundee and Carpentersville took center stage, supplying quaint and rustic backdrops for the movie, "Joshua," a Christian comedy/drama featuring F. Murray Abraham, Tony Goldwyn, Giancarlo Giannini, and Stacy Edwards.
