Spend a night or two in Northern Kane County and revel in one of our many festivals.

The Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce takes part in summer community festivals, held in downtown East and West Dundee. Family fun is always on tap, with residents and visitors enjoying live entertainment, kids' activities and games, events for seniors, a pet show, an international food fair, arts and crafts fair, and a beer and wine garden.

Every other year on the last Saturday in June, the Dundee Township Historical Society sponsors Americana Days, which celebrates local history with arts and crafts shows, period musical entertainment, storytelling, and demonstrations of old-time farm chores. Food vendors offer 19th century fare and the event concludes with a band concert and fireworks.

Welcome the holidays during Dickens in Dundee, our winter festival held the first weekend in December. Sponsored by area civic and social groups, Dickens in Dundee gets everyone into the seasonal spirit with an ice carving competition, arts and crafts, and a parade conveying Father Christmas to town and to his first official act of the Yule–the lighting of the great tree. Horse and carriages and horse-drawn wagons transport passengers through West Dundee's and East Dundee's historic areas.

During the month of June, Gilberts welcomes visitors with its annual Gilberts Days Celebration. In July, Sleepy Hollow sponsors a 4th of July fireworks display and East Dundee holds its annual East Dundee Day. In September, West Dundee holds its Heritage Fest, featuring a variety of arts and crafts-related activities.

Throughout the year, the good times just keep rolling across Northern Kane County. Come on and join the fun!
