The greater Oak Brook area is at an important juncture as its leaders examine the opportunities for commercial and community development. Leaders in Oak Brook and Oakbrook Terrace are joining together to improve their existing commercial properties and plan for new business growth. Both communities also are carefully planning for the preservation and enhancement of their commercial and residential areas.
Business and municipal leaders also are working together to learn more about the needs of their commercial sector. New ideas are emerging regarding zoning and building codes—ideas that may assist businesses in meeting their goals, while maintaining a positive quality of life for citizens.
