Worship

Religious and civic organizations have remained an important part of community life in Oak Forest for nearly 90 years. The first two houses of worship, along with several clubs, were organized back in the 1920s, with the 1960s bringing about such organizations as the Chamber of Commerce and the Jaycees—among others.

Today, there are a number of houses of worship representing a wealth of faiths, along with a host of clubs serving varied interests including youth clubs, a garden club, political organizations, senior groups, sports associations and more.
