Many opportunities for recreation and fitness can be accessed in the City of O’Fallon, and a great deal of these opportunities are active ones that contribute to a healthy lifestyle.
The following are some highlights of things to do in the area when one wants to keep exercise in mind:
City Parks
Parks are a high priority of Mayor Graham and the City Council. Over 200 acres of park space have been added over the past few years.

Active opportunities abound at the selection of parks in the city, where one can find things such as baseball diamonds and walking paths. Whether you are looking for a peaceful oasis such as the 109-acre Rock Springs Park, home to O’Fallon’s Dog Park, or a place to go as a family, like the new O’Fallon Family Sports Park, there are plenty of places to choose from.
Biking, walking, basketball and horseshoes are just some of the activities that one can enjoy at the parks in the area, and many of them also feature playgrounds that are appealing to younger children. In addition to wonderful park facilities, the city’s Parks and Recreation Department also offers over 100 programs that appeal to all members of the family as well as numerous summer camps for the children.
