Striving for Excellence
O’Fallon is known throughout the region for its excellence in education at all levels. Our students consistently score above average in state testing. There are two public elementary school districts: Central District 104 and District 90. The Central School District, serving more than 400 students, consists of kindergarten through eighth grade, while District 90 serves more than 3,200 students, also kindergarten through eighth grade. The community has seven elementary schools, a new junior high school and O’Fallon Township High School, which is ranked one of the best in the country by the U.S. Department of Education. The curriculum offered places strong emphasis on basic skills, as well as art, physical education and music. More than 80 percent of OTHS graduates, many of whom receive Merit Scholarships, attend college each year.
The Marching Panther Band, which recently marched in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, consistently wins regional and state band competitions. There are two excellent private schools in O’Fallon as well, St. Clare School and First Baptist Academy.
