

Ideally located in the Metropolitan St. Louis area, within St. Clair County, O’Fallon has become a prominent community for not only families, but also for commuters and businesses, as downtown St. Louis is a mere 14-mile drive from O’Fallon’s center.
Interstate 64 runs alongside O’Fallon, while Interstates 55/70 and 255 are reachable within minutes, providing efficient access into downtown St. Louis and its surrounding suburban area.
The St. Clair County Transit District, created in 1981, works with area public transportation outlets in order to provide service to its 15 townships—which includes O’Fallon. Park and Ride stations, offering connections to both the MetroBus and MetroLink services, are located within minutes of O’Fallon.

Air transportation can be found through nearby Lambert St. Louis International Airport. Situated under 30 miles from O’Fallon, Lambert offers 88 gates serving nine major airlines.
On average, the airport offers nearly 700 daily arrivals and departures, with more than 15 million passengers traveling through the airport each year.
MidAmerica St. Louis Airport is another local option for air travel. Located directly adjacent to Scott Air Force Base, the airport serves civilian aircraft including passenger lines. MidAmerica is served by Allegiant Air, which provides transport to both Las Vegas, Nevada’s McCarran International Airport and Orlando, Florida’s Sanford International Airport.

Spanning 2,560 acres just outside of O’Fallon, Scott Air Force Base is a Joint Total Force installation operated by the 375th Airlift Wing. The wing provides base support services to a number of tenant units, the most important of which is U.S. Transportation Command and U.S. Air Force Air Mobility Command, which includes six headquarters and a numbered air force.
The base is also home to two flying partners—the 932nd Airlift Wing (Reserve component) and the 126th Air Refueling Wing (Air National Guard component).

The primary missions at Scott Air Force Base include the support of the aeromedical evacuation system, the managing of all operational support aircraft within the U.S., direct security for its surrounding area and the U.S., offering support for its host units and providing worldwide transportation. Additionally, SAFB’s flight line houses the C-21, KC-135, C-9C and C-40 aircraft.
