Village Hall is located at 20040 Governors Highway and is open to the public Monday 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Village Hall is closed Saturday and Sunday) Village Board meetings are held the second and fourth Monday of each month, 7:30 p.m., at Village Hall.

Thanks to the efforts of the Olympia Fields Police Department, the community enjoys one of the lowest crime rates in the entire Chicago metropolitan area. The police department currently has 19 Sworn Officers and 2 full-time Clerical Staff. Operations include an enhanced 911 telephone system working in conjunction with a shared Computer Aided Dispatch Center located in Matteson. The OFPD also offers residents a number of other community outreach programs & services.

Matteson Fire Department

Several years ago, the Village established a partnership with the Matteson Fire Department to provide Olympia Fields residents and businesses with fire protection and fast, expert response to emergency medical and rescue calls – approximately 3,000 annually. The Matteson Fire Department operates out of two stations, both staffed 24 hours a day by firefighter/paramedics. The Department employs 35 full-time firefighters supplemented by 12 part-time firefighters and three civilians. Many are trained and certified in advanced life support, CPR, underwater rescue and recovery, fire/arson investigation, hazardous materials response, public fire education and more.
