PrairieFest

Father’s Day weekend is associated with PrairieFest in Oswegoland! Organized by the Oswegoland Park District and in its 15th year, this event is a celebration of history, family and community. The festival brings together community groups, government agencies, businesses and hundreds of volunteers. PrairieFest reflects Oswegoland’s community spirit with its ever-growing lineup of events and activities including a hometown parade, Prairie Winds community band concert, craft and business expo, community street dance, quilt show, children’s art show, Civil War encampment, old-fashioned ice cream socials, mud volleyball tournament, PrairieFest car show, Festival of Brass Drum Corps Show, 5K race and one-mile fun run, fishing competition, duck race and Bucket Brigade festivities.

Concerts in the Park

What could be better than enjoying a summer concert in the park under a canopy of stars? Mingle with neighbors and friends, bring a picnic, let the kids swing to the music and buy some homemade pie and custard! Break the mid-week routine and soak in the warmth of summer, music and community.

Christmas Walk

The sounds of Christmas, natural warmth and ambiance draw hundreds to downtown Oswego every year for its annual Christmas Walk, held the first weekend in December. A tradition of the Oswego Chamber of Commerce, Christmas Walk is a time for local shops to give back to the community. From the lights on Main Street to the parade, carolers, cookie walk, crafts, business fair, sales and entertainment, Christmas Walk is a true Oswego tradition.

Prairie Soccer Festival

The Prairie Soccer Festival, a competitive soccer tournament, is held Memorial Day weekend. With more than 125 teams participating and approximately 5,000 attendees per day, the Prairie Soccer Festival provides true sports entertainment for the entire family.
