New retail space continues to be constructed as national and regional retailers join with local retailers to offer diverse shopping opportunities for all residents.
Downtown Palatine is revitalizing and is benefiting from public investment from a Tax Increment Financing District. Additional retail and office space is expected to be constructed in the downtown area during the next several years. Approximately 643,000 square feet of office space is available throughout the community, of which 80% is occupied.
Economic Development assistance for the attraction and retention of manufacturing firms is available from the Village's Community Development Department. Major companies in the Village include: Weber Stephen Products Company, Sellstrom Manufacturing Co., Inc., Square D Corporation, Trace Laboratories, and United Parcel Service.
