Homes
The landscape of Paris is hilly, wooded and often rugged, yet the farmland surrounding the community has the easy roll of a quiet sea. Paris is a place made for comfortable living — a place where homes can have a view of country corn fields, a placid lake, a picturesque park, the sleek green of a golf course fairway, or the lushness of deep woods.
Late 19th and early 20th century homes line the tree-shaded streets close to the center of the city. There are Victorian, Queen Ann, Federal, and Italianate structures intermixed with bungalows, Cape Cods, and boxy American Foursquare. Many have broad front porches with plenty of chairs in case friends stop by.
On the city’s northern edge are Twin Lakes and Twin Lakes Park. There are eye-pleasing large, medium and smaller contemporary homes which occupy shoreline sites in several subdivisions that surround much of the two lakes that make up Twin Lakes.
On the city’s east side are newer subdivisions and also condos on the Sycamore Hills Golf Course, which were recently constructed.
Paris is home to more than 13 subdivisions in and just outside the city limits. Three newly developed subdivisions are under construction offering large wooded lots.
Senior citizens enjoy life at several retirement communities offering efficiency apartments.
The variety of housing available in Paris extends to other styles as well. There
are several cozy apartment complexes, dozens of duplex dwellings, even mobile home parks. Homes with acreage surrounding them dot the landscape. Whatever the
budget, whatever the lifestyle, there’s an affordable quality home in Paris to match.
