Plano offers a wide variety of housing choices and is continually expanding the selection. There are currently a number of new residential developments pending, one of which will offer over 2,300 dwelling units in a pristine, rural setting. There will be single-family dwellings offered as well as duplexes. The development will be adjacent to, and has incorporated into its design, open space lands as well as a walking/biking path.

Continued commercial and industrial growth as well as the expected expansion of Metra into the area will result in a continued demand for housing, resulting in the development of new subdivisions to address the need.

Ten Protestant churches and one Catholic church offer the residents of the City of Plano a variety of religious services from which to choose. Contemporary as well as traditional worship services are offered, accommodating anyone’s need or preference.
