When the Village of Roselle was established years ago, so were many of the surrounding park districts. As the Roselle boundaries grew, they overlapped neighboring park district boundaries, resulting in Roselle residents being served by four different park districts.

Roselle Park District

Roselle Park District facilities include playgrounds, tennis and volleyball courts, ball fields, outdoor walking/jogging paths, bikeways, picnic areas, and soccer fields. The Clauss Recreation Center is a community center with a dance studio, fitness center, gymnasium, indoor track and classrooms for its many year-round activities. The Roselle Park District offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities, for all ages - from toddlers through seniors.

Medinah Park District

The Medinah Park District offers a year-round variety of recreation programs, park activities and leisure facilities for all ages. Over 75 acres of parks provide baseball, soccer and softball fields, tennis courts, ice skating rinks, volleyball and basketball courts, hiking and biking trails, playgrounds, picnic areas and a sled hill. Activities include tots and preschool programs, sports instruction, dance classes, crafts, day camp, sports leagues, jazzercise, trips and excursions, a senior citizens club, fine arts, cooking, school holiday events, drama, gymnastics, parties, teen activities and family events.

Schaumburg Park

The Schaumburg Park District offers more than 1200 programs annually and maintains over 1000 acres of park land. One of the largest districts in the state, the Schaumburg Park District has four recreation centers and five swimming pools. The Spring Valley Nature Sanctuary takes you back to nature with 135 acres of prairie, forests, wetlands and an 1880šs living history farm - the Spring Valley Heritage Farm. Two beautiful golf courses are available; the 27-hole Schaumburg Golf Club and Walnut Greens.

Bloomingdale Park District

Bloomingdale Park District amenities include 142 acres of parks and lakes, numerous ball, soccer and football fields, five tennis courts, new playground equipment, two ice skating rinks and a sled hill. Springfield Park features a miniature golf course, a wetland nature area, a jogging path and lighted ball fields. The main facility hosts an outdoor pool with a water slide, sand volleyball and a sand tot lot. Indoors are classrooms, a gymnasium with two full courts, a permanent gymnastics area, and a game room with pool tables, ping-pong, foosball and various board games. Many programs, for tots through adults, are offered throughout the year.
