
Spanning from the northeast side of Round Lake Beach to the southwest side of Round Lake Park and Round Lake, the region is centrally located between Chicago and Milwaukee.
Drivers can easily access the communities by Interstate 94 West’s exit at Route 120 (Belvidere Road), by Interstate 94 East’s exit at Route 132 (Grand Avenue) and from either the north or south on Highway 83 or Highway 12 to 120 East.
Commuters can utilize the Pace bus service for local travel as well.
Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport is situated 40 miles from the area, with Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport at 51 miles away and Chicago’s Midway Airport reachable through a 60-mile drive.
Additionally, rail transportation to Chicago is offered through two Metra stations: the Round Lake Metra Station, located at the intersection of Route 134 and Cedar Lake Road, provides transport along the Milwaukee District North Line, which runs from Fox Lake to Chicago; and the Round Lake Beach Metra Station, at 680 East Mallard Creek Drive, is serviced by the North Central Service Line, which provides a connection between Antioch and Chicago.
