Entertaining attractions, delicious eateries and clean, comfortable accommodations can be found within the Round Lake Area and its surrounding communities.
Round Lake Beach is home to the popular attraction, Kristof’s Entertainment Center, a family-owned center featuring bowling, miniature golf, go-karts, an extensive arcade with prizes, batting cages, and one of the biggest haunted houses in the area, during the spooky Halloween season.
The new Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center hosts a plethora of activities and performances throughout the year including its annual Shakespeare in the Park, which is an exciting and engaging outdoor performance. In addition, the Round Lake Area Park District offers a multitude of activities, plays and recreational facilities both indoor and out for all ages.
The greater Round Lake Area is also a stone’s throw away from Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor theme park in Gurnee. Rollercoasters, games, kiddie rides, live shows, and more line the walkways of Great America, while the new Hurricane Harbor is equipped with 26 winding water slides, a wave pool and Skull Island, a large, interactive water playground.
Dining establishments offering an array of cuisine can be found throughout the area. Both family-owned restaurants and large, national chain establishments can be found here, with everything from good old American-style cooking to Mexican fare. Highly-rated accommodations can also be found in abundance throughout the surrounding area.
