Round Lake Education
Education is a significant aspect of the Round Lake Area community, which is served by the school districts of Round Lake, Grayslake, Grant, and Lake Villa. The Round Lake Area Schools District #116 is comprised of the Early Education Center, five elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. A low pupil to teacher ratio and an average classroom of 22 students are great benefits available within the district.
Alternative educational offerings in the area include the Kindercare Learning Center, First Steps Nursery School in Round Lake Beach, the Goddard School in Round Lake and the Round Lake Park District, all offering great early learning programs. Students in pre-K through eighth grade can also access private education at St. Joseph’s School in Round Lake and St. Bedes School in Ingleside.
The College of Lake County’s campuses at Grayslake, Waukegan, Vernon Hills, and Great Lakes are all easily accessible to residents and all offer a wide range of academic programs. Three extension sites are also available at the North Branch Courthouse, Round Lake High School, and the Round Lake Area Library.
The University Center of Lake County offers a unique partnership of 18 private and public Illinois colleges and universities.
