Three state-of-the-art healthcare facilities are within close proximity to South Elgin, offering highly trained, talented and dedicated staff, technologically advanced equipment and a host of programs and services.
Delnor Hospital, located in Geneva, Illinois, also serves the community by providing comprehensive, cutting edge medicine within a culture that fosters some of the highest patient, physician and employee satisfaction in the nation. The 128-bed, acute care hospital is part of Delnor Health System, which provides a broad range of healthcare, wellness and other services for the community. Delnor’s 400-plus member medical staff features physicians representing more than 70 specialties and sub-specialists. Many are recognized leaders in their field.
As a Level II Trauma Center and Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics, Delnor’s Emergency Department offers the expertise and resources to treat people of all ages with severe or life-threatening illnesses and injuries. Further centers of excellence available at Delnor are the NewLife® Maternity Center and the Center for Breast Health. Additional services accessible through the hospital include Cancer Care, Cardiology, Laboratory, Neurological, Pediatric, Rehabilitation, Surgical and Community Education, among many others.
The hospital is currently completing construction of the largest addition in the hospital’s history. The three-story, 100,000 square-foot expansion will enable Delnor to add 31 private patient rooms and convert the few remaining semi-private rooms in the existing hospital to private rooms as well.Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin is only minutes away and features an emergency/trauma center, home healthcare and hospice, a psychiatric center, regional cancer care center, an occupational health department and more.
Sherman Hospital, also in Elgin, offers a regional heart center and is a designated Level II Trauma Center. A host of programs and services are available, including extensive cancer treatment services, a diabetes center, orthopedic specialists and a special birthing center with a neonatal intensive care nursery. What’s more, a location of the Sherman Family Healthcare Immediate Care can be accessed in South Elgin. The facility stands as a walk-in clinic designed to treat non-life threatening injuries and illnesses—an excellent alternative to visiting the Emergency Room. Outpatient laboratory, medical imaging, CT scanning, immunization clinics, school and athletic physicals and physical therapy and speech pathology round out the list of services found through the Immediate Care Center in the community.
