The print and online collections contain a rich variety and depth of resources to meet your reading and information needs. Librarians can help you locate materials and information in the Library and beyond. Internet access is available in the Library or on your laptop on the Library’s wireless network. Looking for Something to Read?
The Readers Services Staff offer suggestions for recreational and informational reading, personalized reading lists, background materials for local book discussion groups as well as programs throughout the year.
For Businesses
Services include research assistance, paper and electronic directories, trade magazines, and business start-up guides.
Programs for Adults
Enjoy Sunday Concerts, Books@Noon, the Wednesday Lecture Series, book
discussions, a Writers Group, author readings, a variety of computer classes in the Technology Center, and programs cosponsored with area organizations.

The Library offers service to those who are visually impaired, hard of hearing, or mobility limited. Large print books, audiobooks, the Kane County Chronicle on tape, and assorted magnifiers and other assistive devices are available for use at the Library, and many may be checked-out. Anyone who is temporarily or permanently homebound is eligible for home delivery.
For Young Adults (YA)
A collection of fiction, audiobooks, graphic novels, and magazines, located on the
mezzanine in The Loft, is for high school teens. In reference and nonfiction books
and databases, students can find numerous resources along with information for assignments on current issues and events. The Teen Services web pages offer research guides, reading suggestions, resources on teen issues, and the newsletter, Lines From the Loft.
YOUTH SERVICES
Just for Kids – Infants through Grade 8
Youth Services provides information, reference assistance, and programs for preschool children, students, and adults. Our collection of materials includes books, audio books, music, puzzles, educational computer games, and downloadable books and video. From early literacy to science projects, the ASK ME Staff is available to assist with your requests.
Programs & Junior Friends
Programs are offered for the infant, child, student, and family and include story time, reading clubs, workshops, storytellers, puppet shows, concerts, and seasonal events. Middle school students may volunteer for the Junior Friends group or be on the Advisory Board. Details about all programs may be found in The Program Pages
