Government

Both Sterling and Rock Falls provide many services to their residents. One of the strongest attributes of both is the strength of their respective local governments. Each city is governed by a mayor and city council to ensure residents receive necessary services and programs.

NOTE: The City of Sterling City Council meets the first and third Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m., while the Rock Falls City Council meets the first and third Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m.
