The Chautauqua Building, located in the center of the park, was erected in 1916 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Lake Shore Golf Course Lake Taylorville, 217-824-5521 This 18-hole PAR 72 Championship golf course was designed by William James Spear and constructed in 1969. It is tree lined with rolling terrain and wraps around beautiful Lake Taylorville. The course also features a driving range and banquet facilities. Don Bragg Athletic Complex 1801 W. Vandeveer Located on Taylorvilles west side, this has been the site of previous state softball tournament, and has a soccer/football field, paved walking area, playground, and concession stand.
