Situated just southwest of Chicago, Tinley Park’s location is ideal for residents, visitors and businesses alike.

Major U.S. interstates nearby and accessible to the Village include I-80 and I-57. I-55, I-355, I-90 and I-94 are easily reached through I-80, and nearby I-65 in Indiana provides a route to the southern states. U.S. 45, U.S. 6, U.S. 30 and Illinois 43 connect Tinley Park with other cities in the area.

Additionally, the recent opening of the Interstate 355 extension offers even more access in and out of the Tinley Park area.

Air travel is offered by several nearby airports. Midway International Airport is located approximately 30 minutes north, O’Hare International Airport is about 45 minutes northwest and the Gary/Chicago International Airport is situated 30 minutes east of Tinley Park.

Two Metra train stations, the recently renovated Oak Park Avenue Station and the 80th Avenue Station, are also available to commuters traveling to and from downtown Chicago, to Joliet and to all stops in between. Twelve freight railroads serve the Village as well.

Pace Suburban Bus Service provides service to and from business parks, hospitals, educational institutions and centers of transit. The Tinley Park Senior Bus transports the elderly and the handicapped, and Tri State Coach Lines, Inc. offers shuttle service to regional airports. Additionally, several limousine and taxi companies serve the Tinley Park community.
